Windows x64 desktop tool for building multi-car Forza Horizon 2 packs and testing them through an embedded Azimuth wrapper.
1. Extract the complete ZIP into a writable folder.
2. Run Car Pack Studio.exe. Keep the _internal folder beside the executable. It contains runtime, save template, resources, bin and Python/Qt libraries.
3. Choose your owned base game's Mount folder containing media\stripped\gamedbRC.slt.
4. Install Azimuth, FH2 Mod Platform and Extra Options separately into one Azimuth folder.
Tested baseline: 1.0.2 / 2.8.0 / 0.3.2; arbitrary future versions are not certified automatically.
5. Leave Runtime = sandbox in File → Settings. Set Copy dependencies from to your installed
Azimuth folder, or use Mods > Import dependencies for immediate setup.
Missing dependencies block running the wrapper, not editing or building packs.
6. Open Help → How to for the complete current-build guide, including commands and technical details. The same guide is _internal\resources\how-to.html.
This is an experimental release. Back up projects, game overrides and saves. Use copies for testing. The sandbox test save is regenerated during preparation; do not use that runtime as your personal career-save installation.

Base game content is NOT included.
•Self-contained Car Pack Studio application and Python/Qt libraries.
•CarPackLoader, Studio test mod and Virtual Dashboard.
•Not shipped: Azimuth, FH2 Mod Platform, Extra Options and optional third-party runtime mods.
•Save template used to generate the sandbox test save.
•Texture decoder, FFmpeg audio decoder and application icon resources.
The importer copies required dependency files, Azimuth's data\bin support files, and installed optional
ShowFPS, FH2 Mouse & Keyboard, NoPause (qiangqiang101). It never copies saves, caches, logs,
unknown mods or game assets. A first import copies launcher settings, including DLC discovery/content
paths; later imports preserve destination INI/DAT settings. The DLC itself must remain available.
Close games using either folder before importing. Importing binaries is not a version compatibility check.
Once imported, the runtime does not need the original source folder. Use Import dependencies again
to update binaries or bring in newly installed optional mods; normal Run only imports when required files are missing.
Mods > Open Studio Mods opens the selected runtime's fh2-mods directory for manual installation.
Required Azimuth/loader/Extra Options files belong in the runtime root and data\bin, not fh2-mods.
ShowFPS is greyed out unless its DLL exists in that selected runtime. Missing optional input mods
do not block launching; a controller is needed without keyboard support, and losing focus may pause the
game without NoPause. Existing installations are not purged or stripped of their mods.
•File → New pack project, then right-click a donor in Cars to clone it.
•Pack → Import car ZIP adds a source archive using a chosen database donor.
•Set names, brand, year and unique ID in Car properties, then click Apply.
•Inspect/edit assets in Explorer; build, install or test the selected car.
•Right-click a Pack row to remove it from the project or uninstall that custom car from the selected runtime's database without removing other pack cars.
•Tools → Game files manager opens supported loose files and ZIP entries.
•Swatchbins export PNG. Audio-bank samples play and export WAV.
•Help → How to documents all controls, viewer behavior and console commands.
•Right-click any dock title to show/hide individual panels. Pack and Car properties
start hidden; enable them from that menu for pack editing.
•Drag an individual panel tab out of its strip and drop at the wrapper's left, right, top or
bottom edge; an outline previews its position. Drop outside Studio to float that panel.
•The workspace always uses the dark theme, including detached panels.
•Game and console Detach/Attach controls are square icon buttons with tooltips.
•Wrapper > Settings > Travel test binds reserves physical radio controls for the experimental
flow. Uncheck it while stopped, then Run for normal radio station controls.
Console/GUI car reload, teleport and map travel remain available in either mode.
•Sandbox preparation always regenerates its test save from the shipped template, including when
upgrading settings that previously disabled the ultimate save. Existing-runtime mode preserves that
installation's saves; it is not the isolated test-save mode.
•The bundled CarPackStudio.dll file/product/mod version is 0.2.2.
Pack installation persists on disk. Test in game builds/installs
